Dean Haas has over 25 years legal experience, including work as a partner of a firm engaged in the private practice of law and 17 years representing the State of North Dakota. As an assistant attorney general, Haas represented the Workforce Safety and Insurance (WSI) Fund, the Department of Health and Environmental Law, Game & Fish, Oil & Gas Division, Department of Agriculture, Board of Animal Health, and Water Commission. Haas has a wide variety of experience in WSI, Social Security, personal Injury and business litigation matters. His practice is concentrated in the areas of workers’ compensation, environmental law, health law, and natural resources.

He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in accounting and economics, followed by a law degree with distinction. He was also earned an LL.M. in Health Law by the University of Houston.
